Praman Analytical Laboratories is an independent testing laboratory at MIDC Andheri East, accredited by NABL to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and notified by FSSAI. We serve manufacturers, exporters, traders and institutions across Maharashtra and the rest of India.

What we do
Our testing services
Chemical testing, instrumentation and microbiology are housed in the same building, so a single sample can be tested for nutrition, contaminants and shelf life without being sent elsewhere.
Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical
Assay and related substances, dissolution, content uniformity, residual solvents, elemental impurities and ICH stability studies under IP, BP, USP and EP.
Water and environmental
Packaged drinking water, potable and process water, effluent, ambient air, stack emissions and soil, tested against IS 10500, IS 14543 and MPCB consent conditions.
Microbiology
Indicator organisms, pathogen detection by culture and real time PCR, sterility, bioburden, preservative efficacy and shelf life studies in a Class 10,000 suite.
Cosmetics and personal care
Heavy metals, banned substance screening, pH, microbial limits, preservative efficacy and BIS conformity testing for skin, hair, oral and baby care products.
Packaging and materials
Overall and specific migration, heavy metals in inks, RoHS screening, seal strength and barrier testing for films, laminates, cans and closures.
About the laboratory
Why clients choose Praman
We are a genuinely independent laboratory. Praman does not manufacture, trade or distribute any product, and no director holds an interest in a client company. Our only output is test data.
- Accredited scope. 1,450 methods under NABL ISO/IEC 17025:2017, assessed annually.
- Calibrated instruments. Balances, pipettes and thermometers calibrated against traceable reference standards on a documented schedule.
- Validated methods. Accuracy, precision, LOD, LOQ and linearity data available to auditors on request.
- Proficiency testing. Regular participation in FAPAS, AOCS and NABL rounds, with z-scores kept on record.
- Sample traceability. Every sample is barcoded at the receipt counter and tracked through the LIMS until disposal.

Process
How testing works at Praman
The same five steps are followed for every sample, whether it is one retail pack or a container load.
Quotation
Send us the product, the market it is sold in and the standard it must meet. You get a parameter wise price and a committed report date, usually within four working hours.
Sampling or receipt
Our samplers collect to IS 436 and ISO 707 protocols, or you courier the sample to us. It is photographed, barcoded and logged at the receipt counter.
Testing
Work is assigned to an analyst authorised for that method and matrix, and run alongside a reference material, a spike recovery and a method blank.
Review and authorisation
A second scientist checks the raw data, calculations and instrument audit trail before the technical manager signs the report.
Report and archive
You receive a signed PDF and portal access to the chromatograms. Retention samples and data are held for the period your regulator requires.
